Objective 1 – Improve website visibility and competitive position in SERPs

Computer Geeks’ strategy, along with 2C’s content creation achieved a 129% increase in organic keywords ranking on page 1 of SERPS (May 2019 – July 2020).

Diagram 1 maps Computer Geeks’ level of organic keywords and search traffic against their competitors at the time of writing (12 months into the contract). It demonstrates that the Geeks content marketing efforts have put them firmly ahead of their competitors in both the number of keywords that they rank for and their visibility in SERPs.

Objective 2 – Improve website traffic

Between May 2019 and July 2020, Computer Geeks’ content strategy campaign contributed to the following results compared to the previous year:

*A session is defined as a group of interactions one user takes within a given time frame on your website.

What does this mean?

A company’s year-on-year website traffic growth is tied into several factors such as their marketing spend, age, strategy and audience. However, a 10-20% is generally considered a good benchmark
for an established business. A 28.93% increase in website traffic (sessions) is, therefore, a healthy growth rate. The increase in unique page views indicates that Computer Geeks’ content and optimised meta descriptions attracted significantly more interest than in previous months. Because Computer Geeks aligned their content to target audience search terms, the traffic that landed on their web pages was also of a higher quality.

Objective 3 – Increase target audience engagement with website

4 of the blog pages that were published and shared via social media within the campaign period appear within the top 20 most visited pages on the site (one of which features as number 4) and average time on page increased by 3.4%.
